DESCRIPTION:Dispute resolution in the 21st century is not “either/or” or 
 “black and \nwhite”. The growing complexity of the world we live in lead
 s to an increase \nin conflict and dispute in circumstances where time i
 s frequently of the \nessence. Although we are well trained and conflict
  resolution is our daily \nstock and trade\, we still tend to avoid conf
 lict and focus on solutions \nrather than the conflict itself.\nBy this 
 we overlook our most important resource for solving the problem: \nthe c
 onflict and its dynamics. It is for this reason - after careful \ndelibe
 ration - that we chose “Challenging Conflict” as the 2010 congress' \nke
 y issue! Born out of the understanding that conflict always has a \njuri
 sdictional and emotional side\, Munich itself has a more than a 25 year 
 \ntradition of interdisciplinary conflict resolution.\nTherefore we deci
 ded that the area around Munich is the perfect place to \nhold the 3rd E
 uropean Collaborative Conference. It will take place in Bad \nAibling fr
 om June 11th to June 12th with a pre-congress on June 10th.\nThis confer
 ence will be of interest to all levels of participants from \nbeginners 
 to intermediate practitioners and up to advanced practitioners \nand eve
 n trainers.\nWe will debate the question of whether there can be an effe
 ctive \ninterdisciplinary team in and out of court\, and what are the be
 nefits and \npitfalls of spreading collaborative practice\, also into th
 e court system. \nViews will be given in a plenary session with the head
  of the Munich family \ncourt and later on by all participants in a worl
